About the Podcast

海马星球播客创立于2018年，是中国最早的女权播客之一，在顶峰时期大约有50万听众。它是一个结合了思想性和故事性的对话播客，聚集于中文世界里重要的女权议题和女权践行案例，引介女权思想并拓展思想边界。

Seahorse Planet was the first feminist podcast in China. It was launched in 2018 as a platform to increase awareness of women’s situation, discuss feminism thoughts, and exemplify how Chinese women find their own ways to defend their rights and help each other.  Before it was banned in China at the end of 2021, Seahorse Planet was one of the most popular podcasts and a cultural phenomenon in China. Its audience was between 200,000 to 500,000. Today, its programs are still popular among overseas Chinese women and those who can have access to it through the Great Firewall. Current audience size is about 200,000. It is the most influential Chinese podcast on feminism.
